David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy thrashed Hollywood United FC 12-4 last Sunday in a charity match. Together, the teams raised over $90,000 that will benefit the victims of the recent San Diego wildfires.
Beckham scored two goals in the match and added three assists. Beckham played for 83 minutes in the match, which is his longest appearance since joining Major League Soccer. David said after the game that it was "the best I've felt in quite a few months."
The Galaxy later appeared in an exhibition match on Wednesday in Vancouver. The Galaxy and host team Vancouver Whitecaps played to a 0-0 draw. 48,172 fans showed up to see Beckham in action. David managed to log another 72 minutes of playing time.
